Sephora / NYX Mini Haul
It's been a while since I share a beauty haul with you all. I decided to pick up a few new products I had been eyeing to test them out and see if they perform as people claim.
The thing about beauty products is that despite of great reviews, they can be either a hit or miss for some because not all formulas work the same in each individual. Not to mention all the influencers that would say basically anything to rate the A+ just for the sake of an incentive.
For the Sephora Haul I purchased the following products:
For my NYX haul I only got these two products:
- Belif On-the-glow hydration travel kit: This is a nice a little travel set, but I also got it because I was curious how good this brand performs on combo skin. So far so good. No breakouts. Really enjoying the night mask and eye cream.
- Lancôme Mini Glam Lashes On The Go Mascara Set: I needed a new mascara and saw this little great deal. Comes with this tiny and super cute backpack. Not as big as you would think but it can fit a cellphone and a few other things. (Sold out Online)
- HUDA BEAUTY #FauxFilter Luminous Matte Buildable Coverage Crease Proof Concealer: As soon as it came out I knew I had to try. I had been on the search for a new concealer. Lately I've been wearing the Elf Hydrating Como Concealer but I feel like I need more coverage. This one can be layered up but on first application it's very lightweight. I will wear it a few more times to form a better opinion. I have only used it on no makeup days only on the eyes. I have yet to see how it looks on a fuller glam. I will update this section once I have tried it a bit more. So far so good though. I got it in the shade Sugar Biscuit 3.5 Neutral.
- Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick: I was looking for some mauve toned matte lipsticks since I ran out some older ones I had and saw these on sale so it was the perfect score. I have yet to use them on the lips but they seem smooth and buttery upon swatch application. I really like the colors I chose. I got shade So Into You and My Type.
- Innisfree Daily UV Defense Sunscreen SPF 36: This is a very affordable sunscreen, I needed something lightweight and that didn't have a white cast, so far it's working. I'm not sure how this performs under make-up yet but it's been great for these hot summer days with little to no make-up.
- Lip Lingerie XXL Matte Liquid Lipstick: Been looking for a nude lipstick that doesn't make me look washed out. The sales person recommended the shade Hot Caramelo and I really like it! The formula on this lipstick is amazing, it's matte but not too drying and I wore for a very long day and managed to stay put. I really recommend this product.
- Thick It. Stick It! Brow Mascara: I'm always on the search for a brow product that minimizes my time doing my brows, I'm just not a brow person but I have some little areas that need a little extra care. I usually prefer the Benefit Gimme Brow Mascara but this one seemed interesting and on the cheaper side. This product really holds your brow for that look people are going for these days. It also contains a tint, I got mine in the shade 07- Espresso. The only thing is I'm very peculiar with my brow products because I feel like most brow products lean warm so I kinda don’t like brown looking brows but pitch black neither. I feel like some higher end products have that neutral brown-black shade that just looks amazing on me, that's why sometimes I'm very selective, but this is a great little product.
